That win extended the West Londoner's unbeaten run against Sunderland to four matches, a run that stretches back to December 2017. The result also moved the visitors three points away from the relegation zone while Sunderland slipped to sixth after 12 games.

Leandro Trossard opened the scoring whilst Eze scored either side of half-time to put Arsenal 3-0 up, before Richarlison's wonder goal made it 3-1 not long after. Eze's third goal in the 76th minute gave the league leaders the win in a match where Spurs barely showed up.
